It seemed that everytime the weather people called for snow it was everywhere but here. China and Iraq even got snow ~ something that hadn't happened in years upon years....if ever.
Dan decided a few weeks ago to grow a goattee in protest of no snow. He said he wasn't going to shave it off until he was able to use his snow blower ~ well, guess what? Yesterday, February 12, he FINALLY got to use it. Here is a video I made about the snow and Dan using his snow blower. It's the first video I made like this and uploaded to youtube. The video should give you an idea of what it was like here yesterday. comments are welcome.

The Iditarod Alaska Race has held my attention for many years. I admire the perserverence of the racers and the love they show to their team of dogs. The Iditarod is called "The Last Great Race". Mushers and their team run through some of the most difficult terrain in remote areas of Alaska. The race unofficially begins in Anchorage and ends in Nome. Total miles ran within 14 days is over 1000 miles.
