I signed up on Flickr to add photos of my various road trips. On this page I am posting a link to my Flickr account and you are more than welcome to check the photos out. I would love to hear any thoughts you have about my road trips. I will also give a little background information on the trips.
The first set of photos I'm going to share are from a trip my husband and I took to Safe Harbor, Pennsylvania. The purpose for the trip was to learn about the Susquehannock Indians that lived along the Susquehanna River and to learn about the River itself. I was doing a presentation on the Susquehanna River at the Joseph Simpson Library.
We traveled south on the east shore of the river. We came to Columbia and several other small towns along the way before making it to Safer Harbor. At Safe Harbor are several rocks that date back to the early life of the Susquehannock Indians. These rocks are called
petroglyphs . The only way to view the rocks are by boat.

After spending time in the Safe Harbor area, my husband and I doubled back towards Columbia where we crossed the Susquehanna River and entered York County in the Wrightsville area. From here we traveled to the Indian Steps Museum, which is an interesting museum that honors the spirit of the people. If you get the chance, stop by and visit.
